Description

Once upon a time this miner tried to pursue a career as a member of a barber shop quartet. After being ejected from the group due to his lack of ability to sing in tune, he attempted a number of other vocations before turning to mining. He still sings hopelessly out of tune but nobody really cares anymore because they can't usually hear him over the general mining soundscape. You, however, seem to have been stupid enough to not only get close enough to hear him, but you also winced noticeably and he saw it. Now he's furious.

Combat Messages

Initiative Message(s):

  • While he's busy remonstrating with you about your lack of appreciation for his musical ability, you get the jump.
  • You set about trying to explain your way out of the situation but he's not listening and gets the jump on you.

Successful Attack(s):

  • He reminisces about the time he auditioned for Paradox! Idol and then decides that you remind him of one of the judges. He starts shouting at you "I'll be big one day and it'll be your loss..." his words trail off into tears of rage and then he thumps you for X DAMAGE!
  • Your opponent grabs a pickaxe and hits you in the forehead with it. Apparently it's not just his singing that's sharp. You take X DAMAGE!
  • Trying to prove that he can sing, he performs his rendition of "Unchained Melody" for you. Your ears bleed for X DAMAGE!

Failed Attack(s):

  • He might be a sharp miner, but his attacking skills seem to b flat today and he misses you completely.
  • He tries to assault you with his group's number one hit from before he was kicked out, but he can't remember the words.
  • Like his singing, his ability to hurt you is a bit off. Not much, but enough to make him both really annoying and utterly useless at the same time.

  • "Sharp", "b flat", and other small pieces all refer to singing and the fact that this encounter is not good at singing either.
