Description

Seeing the large ramp with hoops at the top and a cage around them you figure "How hard can this be?" After all, you've prided yourself on your ball-handling skills for years.

You give the attendant your moolah and he hands you 9 softball sized balls. With your tongue sticking out of the side of your mouth you grab hold of your balls and roll them, one after the other, up the ramp.

Unfortunately, your aim isn't quite as good as you thought it was, and you manage to achieve a pitiful score.

"Ohh, too bad," says the attendant, handing you a single prize ticket, "Better luck next time!"

"Heh, nice try," says the attendant, handing you a couple of prize tickets, "You know what they say, practice makes perfect!"

"Not bad," says the attendant, handing you a few prize tickets, "You should try again later!"

It's pretty tough, but you manage to get most of your balls in the 100 holes.

"Hey, that's pretty good," says the attendant, handing you a few prize tickets, "Almost perfect in fact. Nice work!"

• You acquire 4 prize tickets.

Or:

To the attendant's amazement, every single one of your balls slams into the 100 holes, and you get a perfect score!

"Wow, that was incredible!" says the attendant, handing you a bunch of prize tickets, "Good job, sport!"

• You acquire 25 prize tickets.

Failure:

"Oooooh." the skee ball attendant winces. "I don't think I've ever seen anyone miss that badly."

"Yeah, well, I've never seen balls drawn upwards towards the bars of the cage like that before either," you accuse, "Are you sure there are no magnets in the middle of them?"

The attendant contrives to look insulted, but smug at the same time. Not a bad trick if you can manage it.

He sees the disappointed look on your face, and feels bad for you. "Here," he says, "have a consolation prize."
