Located on the left hand side of the screen are your characters [[stats]], [[Brawn]], [[Brains]] and [[Bravado]]. These are used to measure your character's ability to survive in Paradox.

These stats are improved on by gaining sub-point stats from defeating [[opponents]], eating and drinking, spending turns on encounters or completing quests.
