April Fool's Day 2011 started with an important code update Gobberwart implemented just before midnight and announced to everyone in this forum post that he would be doing game maintenance. Shortly after this update the Rouge Leprechaun Camp showed up in The Outskirts of Town but this was not the ordinary Rouge Leprechaun Camp.

Upon players arrival at the camp their first visit there would give the following message.

"You enter the Rouge Leprechaun Camp but to your surprise, find it completely empty and in a total shambles. Tents are tossed, campfires are cold, even the rainbow which previously shot majestically up into the sky is gone. Moments pass as this all settles in, before you shrug your shoulders and set to hunting for evidence of any left-behind loot and Moolah that could be hiding in the wreckage.

His words begin to haunt you as start to wander off. Obviously the little dude is completely bonkers, but still, you can't help feeling that today is not going to be an ordinary day."

Upon returning to the camp and other visits there would yield the following message.

 +
The Rouge Leprechaun Camp remains utterly diddly-deeserted.

You kick over an empty iron pot, which you suspect at one time was overflowing with gold. The pot rolls away and settles upon a pile of useless, mutilated shamrocks. You take a step forward, knocking over a nearby half-empty bottle of green beer. The remaining green goodness slowly dribbles away into the dirt.

 +
You feel like someone's looking at you, but it's just a pack of smelly old rats, who look up at you with their beady little eyes and twitch their noses in your general direction before returning to their feasting on the remains of some potatoes and black pudding.

There really doesn't seem to be much point hanging around.

Now this is where it really go interesting. Nothing else seemed out of the ordinary until as the players randomly adventured through out Paradox City and its outlying areas random messages would appear at the end of their combat's. Some people got highly upset as they spent their adventures, while others were fully aware of the day and what gob was up to.

Random Message #1
 +
- A depprechaun swaggers and sways up to you and pulls out a compass. Apparently (Random Inventory Items) are the things he wants most right now, because the compass is pointing right at (x) of them sitting comfortably in your backpack. Without warning, he snatches them and dashes off!

Random Message #2

- A zebrachaun appears in front of you, but then immediately steps in front of a convenient green-and-orange Dyrish national flag, and you lose sight of him. He takes advantage of this crafty camouflage, and quickly snags (X Random Inventory Item) from your backpack, before fading into the background again. Dangit! You lost him!

Random Message #3

- A leperchaun springs from some nearby cover yelling, "Kiss your (Random Inventory Item) goodbye!" and runs off with them. You probably wouldn't want them now anyway.

Random Message #4

- A reeferchaun darts at you from out of nowhere and bypasses your defenses. He snatches X (Random Inventory Item) from your backpack and disappears. What the hell just happened? Oh yeah, it was that thing we just said. Heh heh heh. Wait! Dude! Uncool, man.

- A mexxichaun springs at you from somewhere nearby. "¡Hey Gringo!" he yells, hurling himself towards you, "¡No puedes tener mi olla de oro! Sin embargo, me puede tomar su (Random Inventory Item)!" Before you can react, he has your stuff in hand and has disappeared around a handy nearby corner.

Forum Support to the Event
Throughout the day several posts appeared to support the shenanigans.

One such post was from Gobberwart explaining how he had to do this to 'fix' the bug of the inflated drop rate of the platypus and that he felt this was the best way to do it. here.

Another post was by Ragazi who had proclaimed that the whole thing was poorly planned and he was quitting because of it. here On April 2nd this was proven to be false and that actually Ragazi was in on the whole thing with Gobberwart from the beginning, including co-writing the content.
