Dyrish pilgrims have a proverb: "A silent mouth is sweet to hear." In essence, it's a fancy way of saying "We like it when you keep your mouth shut!" As it happens, it's also pretty sweet to find more stuff, get some bargains and look nice while you're doing it!

  • The title refers to the 1952 movie, The Quiet Man, starring John Wayne and filmed in Ireland.
  • "A silent mouth is sweet to hear" is a genuine Irish proverb, as is its paraphrased interpretation. Another way of defining it would be: It’s more important to listen than to speak.
