Chat Commands

The following commands can be used by anyone, to use them type the command in the chat message box:

/clear|/cls
Usage: /clear
  • Clears the chat pane.
/exit
Usage: /exit
  • Logs out of chat and closes the chat pane/window.
/mark
Usage: /mark
  • Display a line and timestamp in chat, effectively "marking" your place in chat, so you can find it again if you leave your computer for a few minutes.
/me|/em|/emote|/action
Usage: /me ACTION
  • Sends an emote/action to the chat.
Example: /me does something
Result: Username does something
/msg|/pm|/whisper|/tell
Usage: /msg PLAYERNAME MESSAGE
  • Sends a private message to the specified user.
Example: /msg Recipient Here is a private message for you.
Result: Private to Recipient: Here is a private message for you.
Recipient sees: Sender (private): Here is a private message for you.
/reply|/r
Usage: /reply MESSAGE
  • Sends a private message to the last person who sent you a private message.
Example: /reply Here is my response.
Result: Private to Recipient: Here is my response.
Recipient sees: Sender (private): Here is my response.
/conv|/v
Usage: /conv MESSAGE
  • Sends a private message to the last person you sent a private message to.
Example: /conv Here is another private message.
Result: Private to Recipient: Here is another private message.
Recipient sees: Sender (private): Here is another private message.
/updates
Usage: /updates
  • Displays the last 3 update messages in the chat pane.
  • Note: Using this command currently MAY cause issues with chat scrolling. This will be fixed when the chat system is re-written.
/whois
Usage: /whois PLAYERNAME
  • Displays basic information about the specified user.
Example: /whois Somebody
Result: Somebody (#123) - Level 3. Player is online and in chat.
/roll
Usage: /roll xdy [public]
  • Perform a a dice roll, where x is the number of dice and y is the number of sides each die has.
  • If public is specified, display results to everyone in chat, otherwise send results privately.
  • Values for x and y must be between 1 and 999.
Example: /roll 2d8 public
Result: Result of rolling 2d8 for PLAYERNAME is 4
