2007: Tons and tons of stuff. See this forum post:

Aaaaaalrighty then.

This is more of a "What I Did This Week" type things, but here goes.

OK, let's be totally honest here. I spent quite a lot of time procrastinating. Drinking beer and farting about on clan radio for a start.

But I did achieve quite a bit in the game, so here's an attempt at a summary:

- Implemented a "game time" so that the time of day and background colours are accurately represented, assuming that rollover is at 9pm AEST (midnight game time). I'm well on the way to implementing a game calendar as well.

- Changed "drunkenness" to "bladder" (and "fullness" to "stomach" for consistency)

- Added an Awards system (akin to Trophies in KoL) - see Grokly's profile

- Create a fucking shitload of mechanics that allow for quests to work. Yeah, that's a short sentence, but I can't tell you how many hundreds of lines of code were involved. And modifications to the database. The upshot of course is that now writing quests is more about content than mechanics.

- Implemented half of the Tutorial Quest

- Added "equip" and "equip offhand" links to the equipment page

- Implement the "miscellaneous" page

- Fixed a massive issue with equipment that allowed someone to (for example) put a banana on their head

- Added some new items (see Grokly's profile again)

- Implemented a basic Town framework. Lots still to add but it'll be relatively easy from here on in. Still need artwork though.

- Done a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember right now.

Anyway, I'm going to think about content for that first Tutorial Quest and hopefully have it finished real soon.
