You walk into the cinema just as the obligatory advertisements for popcorn and candy are finishing up. You look around and see that the whole room is empty. Odd. You figure you're just early, and grab a good seat right in the middle. You sit back, and try to get your eyes adjusted to the screen. The lights slowly dim and finally turn off. You watch the screen, waiting for the previews to start...but they don't. In fact, the screen is blank. You look around, suddenly creeped out by the fact that you're all alone. You stand up and try to see inside the projection room, but the light from the projector makes it impossible. You head for the door and try to open it, but it's sealed shut. Just then, you look at the screen and see a horribly disfigured face. It looks familiar. In fact, it's YOUR face, only it looks like you've been beaten and cut up! The image starts to grow until it takes up the whole screen, and you scream loudly.

"Shhh...it's not even to the scary part yet!"

"Huh?" You look around. The cinema is completely packed, and every eye is on you. Apparently you fell asleep. What a relief. You start to calm down and apologize to the people around you. It's then that you get a good look at their faces. They all have the same face, and it's the one from the screen in your dream!

You try to run away, but they all dive at you at once and pin you down. One of them stands over you with a knife. You scream, "No! Please no!" but it's no use. As he presses the knife against your face, you close your eyes and scream louder.

"Shhh...it's not even to the scary part yet!"

"Huh?" You look around. The cinema is completely packed. You start to panic, unsure of whether you're still dreaming. You look closely at the person next to you. It's that cute redhead from work. You look around at all the other people around you, and each of them has a different face. "Oh, thank goodness."

You lean back in your seat, glad that whole thing's over, and feel something jabbing into your back.
