Description

The film opens up with an idyllic, albeit black-and-white, glimpse of life on planet Ter' Ohr. It's a peaceful world, inhabited by a race of giant ants with a thriving economy and strong grasp of non-partisan social economics. Unfortunately, due to some experimental testing with radioactive materials and a work crew which digs too deeply into an ancient subterranean cavern, a race of latte-sipping, attache-carrying, bi-pedal monstrosities is unleashed on this world.

These ferocious creatures soon overrun the globe, convincing the native Hymenoptera to invest in unsound mortgage derivatives and bringing about the total financial collapse of the ant society.

You've seen this classic dozens of times, so you know how it ends. Unfortunately that doesn't ease the sting of wasted moolah after falling asleep an hour into the flick.

As you rummage through your backpack to see if you have enough moolah to sit through it again, you are surprised to find a pair of trousers you don't recognize as your own. Oddly enough, they smell a bit like coal smoke. And basement.
