This is an ovoid, air-filled, leather ball used as the central object of possessiveness in the Paradoxian sport of football. Oddly enough, this sport rarely sees the ball make any contact with a player's foot.

This particular ball appears to have been made by "Hand & Sons Athletic". It would probably hurt if it was bounced off someone's dome.

When Used In Combat

Always loving gadget plays, you throw the football (with your hand) high into the air yelling, "Hail Mary!" Your opponent frantically races for the ball, paying total attention to it in the air until it collides with a tree trunk and takes X damage.

You take aim with the football and fire a frozen rope (with your hand) right into the midsection of your opponent, causing it to visit the team doctor with X damage.

You launch the football (with your hand) towards your opponent who intercepts it with what passes for its face. It takes X damage.

References

The sentence referring to the football rarely making contact with a foot might be a reference to the numerous demotivationals depicting that football should be called "Handegg"
