The ball hits your opponent squarely, causing X DAMAGE and bouncing away.

After bouncing around for what seems like several minutes, it eventually comes to rest, just out of reach

Failed Attack

You hurl your Mi-T-Bounce(TM) rubber ball at your opponent, and sit back to watch the fun. The ball misses its target by a good few inches, and starts bouncing wildly around the immediate area, causing minor damage to just about everything but your opponent, before eventually coming to rest, just out of reach.

End of Combat

You pick up your Mi-T-Bounce(TM) ball and put it back in your backpack.

Notes

When used from inventory:

You throw the ball at a nearby wall, then watch as it ricochets madly around the room, before finally hitting you right between the eyes for 3 damage.

Now that you think about it, "Don't throw balls inside!" is probably good advice after all.

You pick up the ball and put it away before it can do any more damage.
