Introduction

The Character Pane, or Charpane, is a very handy thing, and will be there at all times to tell you a lot of information about your character and game information at a quick glance.

At the top of the Charpane is a profile picture which by default is a plain white silhouette of a person's head. You can change this to a picture of your own choosing, or turn the picture off altogether through your Account menu.

Immediately below this is your character's name. You know, just in case you forget. You may click on your name to take you to your player page. This page has basic information about you that you have entered in your profile page. (See Account Menu: Profile to enter or change information). It also includes what levels you are in the game, your stats, what items you have equipped and some other interesting information, and is visible to other players as well, so feel free to put some fun or interesting information in here.

Stats

The first "Stat" is your character's "Level", represented by a number and a green bar which indicates your progression within the current "Level". There are a number of levels within the game, which you will attain by completing certain tasks. The higher your level, the more you will be able to do, and the better you'll be able to do it.

Next, there are three more bars labelled "Brawn", "Brains" and "Bravado". These stats show how strong, smart or brave (read "reckless") you are. To the right of each there is a number showing how many stat points you have for each stat. If you have any equipment, devices or effects which impact your stats, two numbers will be shown. The first number shows your stats after modification and is shown in blue if the modification is positive, and red if negative. The second number, in parentheses, shows your base (umodified) stat points. These stats will increase over time, and will affect how well you perform certain tasks.

Following this, two more bars, labeled "HP" and "TP".

  • HP stands for "Health Points" and indicate how healthy you are. Keep an eye on this, and don't let it get to zero, or you'll be in trouble.
  • TP does NOT stand for what you're probably thinking! TP stands for "Technology Points" and you will need these points to be able to use various gadgets and perform certain functions as you go on.

If you're getting low on HP or TP, you can rest in Your Room to restore a small number of each. You can also buy items from stores or find items while adventuring that will restore even more points, and these items can be more useful.

Then, two MORE bars, labeled "Stomach" and "Bladder". These relate to how much food and drink (respectively) you've consumed, and how much more you can comfortably consume in any given day. By default, you may consume up to 15 "Stomach" or "Bladder" points per day. Both your Stomach and Bladder are reset to zero at intermission.

Turns

Most of the things you will be doing will require a "Turn" to perform. "Turns Remaining" will tell you how many more turns you have left to use today.

The number of turns you have is limited, so use them wisely!

How do you get turns to use? Well, each night at intermission you will receive 50 more turns to use the next day. You can also eat and drink to increase the number of turns you have available, and there are several other things you can do to get more.

A very important point to remember is that, while there is theoretically no limit to how many turns you can get, any turns remaining at intermission will be cut off at 250. You should make sure you use enough turns in any given day so that your turns remaining aren't lost.

Moolah

"Moolah" is the currency currently used in Paradox City. You will need this to buy things you may need, and it can be obtained in a number of ways, for example Moolah can be obtained as a reward for winning a fight or completing a task, received as payment for selling items, or even just found lying around.

HoloPet

Shows your current active HoloPet you are using out of your C.A.G.E. an displays their buffed intensity and base intensity side by side with the base intensity in in brackets.

Last Adventure

Shows information about the last place you adventured, and provides a link you can click if you want to be taken right back to the same place to adventure again. Note that the words "Last Adventure" themselves are also clickable, and will take you directly to the map which contains the last place you adventured.

Effects

Shows any currently-active Effects on your character, and how many turns remain of each effect.

Effects may be positive (such as increased stats, or higher chance of finding items and moolah) or negative, and may be obtained in game from various sources, mainly through certain opponents, consuming specific items or using devices.

Other Stuff

Depending on circumstances, other information may be shown in the Charpane. You should keep an eye on this, as some information may be important!

Notes

Hovering your mouse over any of the various progress bars (Level, Brawn, HP etc.) will show a popup containing additional information. Some things in the Charpane are clickable (although it may not always be obvious), and will show additional information when clicked. After each adventure, the Charpane will automatically update to show you the latest available information. If you haven't adventured for a while (for example when you're hanging out in chat), you can click the "Refresh" link to forcibly update the Charpane.
